"Wild Goose" Bill Days" is
an annual town celebration held the third weekend in
May. The celebration gets its name from Wilbur founder
Bill Condon who started the town in 1875.
Activites of the celebration begin on
Thursday and continued through Sunday. They include
such things as a Midnight Madness Sale, Community Float
Display and Root Beer Float Sale, a Spring Concert at
the school, presentations at the Big Bend Historical
Society Museum, Coaster Car Derby, Golden Garter Saloon,
Wild Goose Chase, Parade, car show, pie sale, food
and craft vendors, kids crafts, a free giant air slide,
Old World Oxen Living History Camp, Kids Fishing Derby,
Quilt Show, Carnival and many other activites and shows.

The Goose Creek Opry is a fun family event
based on traditional American music held annually on
the last weekend in July. The event centers on Bluegrass
Pickin' and a fiddle contest. The event also has food
and art vendors a silent auction, workshops, children's
activities and fireman's breakfast. Visit Goose

Ag Appreciation Day is an annual celebration
recognizing the area's agricultural roots. It is held
the first Saturday in October. There are fun activites
for the entire family including a breakfast, parade,
food and craft vendors, straw maze, kids crafts, quilt
show, strawberry shortcake, music in the park, horseshoe
tournament and lots of other activities.
